Confidence, Social Skills & Leadership Holiday Camp

Help Your Child Build Confidence, Connect with Others, and Step Up to Lead

Confidence, Social Skills & Leadership Holiday Program

A practical, structured 3-day experience for children aged 9–12 and teens aged 13–16, covering personal confidence, social skills, and leadership in action.

You know your child has more to offer than they currently show.

Maybe they hold back in group settings. Maybe they struggle to join conversations or express themselves naturally. Maybe they have ideas but hesitate to speak up. Maybe they are capable and thoughtful in private, but quiet and unsure when it counts.

This is more common than most parents realise, and it is exactly what this program is built to address.

Our 3-Day Confidence, Social Skills & Leadership Holiday Camp helps children and teenagers grow in three areas that shape how they carry themselves every day: personal confidence, social confidence, and leadership in action.

Across 3 half-days of practical games, speaking activities, team challenges, and guided group interaction, students become more comfortable in themselves, more confident with others, and more ready to step forward when it matters.

Who This Camp Is For

This program is suitable for children and teenagers aged 9 to 16 who would benefit from becoming:

More confident speaking up and participating in group settings

More comfortable starting conversations and connecting with others

More expressive in their thoughts and opinions

Better at teamwork, empathy, and respectful interaction

More willing to take initiative and step into leadership roles

More natural and less hesitant in everyday social situations

If your child fits any of these descriptions, they are not alone, and three days of the right environment and guidance can make a genuine difference.

If you are a parent wondering whether this is the right fit.

It Is Especially Suitable For Children Who

Are shy, soft-spoken, or tend to go quiet when attention is on them

Struggle to join conversations or find it hard to connect with unfamiliar peers

Hold back in group settings despite being capable and thoughtful

Have ideas but hesitate to speak up or contribute

Find social situations draining, awkward, or uncomfortable

Are starting secondary school soon and want to feel more socially ready

Simply want to grow in confidence and feel better about themselves around others

πŸ“Œ If your child fits any of these descriptions, they are not alone, and three days of the right environment and guidance can make a genuine difference.

What Makes This Camp Different

Most holiday programs keep children busy.

This one is designed to change something.

Many enrichment camps run activities in parallel, games, crafts, group tasks, and children enjoy themselves. But they often leave largely the same as when they arrived. There is no through-line, no intentional progression, and no real focus on the internal shifts that actually build confidence, social ease, and the willingness to lead.

If your child is shy, hesitant, or still finding their footing socially, a busy camp is not what they need. They need a structured environment where confidence is built deliberately, one layer at a time. That is exactly how this program is designed.

On Day 1, your child works on the foundation: understanding themselves, finding their voice, and becoming more comfortable expressing who they are.

On Day 2, they take that confidence outward, learning to connect with others, start conversations, listen well, and contribute naturally in group settings.

On Day 3, they put everything together, stepping up, taking initiative, guiding others, and practising what it means to lead with clarity and positive influence.

This progression matters because confidence cannot be rushed. The self-assurance built on Day 1 becomes the foundation for the social skills practised on Day 2. The social ease developed on Day 2 makes the leadership challenges on Day 3 feel possible rather than daunting.

Your child will not just have had a good holiday. They will come home noticeably different, more comfortable in themselves, more open with others, and more willing to put themselves forward in the situations that matter.

Program Structure: 3 Days

Day 1: Strengthen Yourself (Confidence & Self-Expression)

Focus: confidence, courage, self-awareness, and self-expression

Before a child can connect with others or lead, they need to feel grounded in themselves.

On Day 1, your child will learn to understand themselves better, recognising their strengths, interests, and values, and become more comfortable sharing who they are with pride and clarity. They will practise speaking up even when unsure, expressing opinions more confidently, and handling mistakes or discomfort with greater courage.

By the end of Day 1, your child will feel more settled in who they are, and more willing to let others see it.

Day 2: Connect with Others (Social Skills & Empathy)

Focus: empathy, teamwork, social confidence, and respect.

On Day 2, your child will learn how to start conversations, join group discussions, keep conversations going naturally, and listen with real interest. They will practise reading social cues, showing empathy, including others, and contributing more confidently in group situations, the kinds of situations they face every day at school and beyond.

By the end of Day 2, your child will feel more at ease with people, less hesitant, more natural, and more genuinely connected.

Day 3: Step Up and Lead (Initiative & Leadership)

Focus: initiative, leadership, decision-making, and positive influence.

The final day is where everything comes together.

On Day 3, your child will practise stepping forward when needed, contributing ideas, guiding a task, making decisions, and motivating teammates in a positive way. They will learn how to lead without being bossy, take responsibility, give clear direction, and help others move forward with confidence and clarity.

By the end of Day 3, your child will have experienced what it feels like to lead, and to do it in a way that earns the respect of others.

What Your Child Will Gain

By the end of this program, your child will be able to:

βœ…οΈ Speak up with greater confidence and less hesitation

βœ…οΈ Express themselves more clearly, naturally, and without second-guessing

βœ…οΈ Start and sustain conversations more comfortably with peers and adults

βœ…οΈ Work with others through stronger empathy, listening, and teamwork

βœ…οΈ Handle group situations with more ease and less anxiety

βœ…οΈ Take initiative and lead,Β contributing ideas, stepping forward, and influencing others positively

These are not just skills for the holidays.

They are the foundations of how your child will speak, connect, and carry themselves for years to come.

Why These Skills Matter

Confidence, social ease, and the willingness to lead are not personality traits that some children are born with and others are not.

They are skills. And like all skills, they can be taught, practised, and developed, at any age, with the right environment and guidance.

These skills shape far more than how your child performs in school. They shape how your child speaks up in a group, makes and keeps friends, handles unfamiliar situations, recovers from mistakes, and carries themselves when it counts. They are the difference between a child who holds back and one who steps forward, not because they are fearless, but because they have learned how.

The earlier these foundations are built, the more naturally they become part of who your child is.

Three days will not transform everything.

But three days of the right focus, the right environment, and the right guidance can shift something, and that shift, once it starts, tends to grow.

About Your Coach

The program is led by Iwan Yang, founder of Speak Sell Succeed, father of two boys, and one of Singapore’s most reviewed communication and presentation trainers with more than 500 reviews across Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

With over a decade of experience coaching more than 2,000 students and working professionals, Iwan founded SuperMinds after observing the same pattern repeatedly: the skills that hold people back in life, confidence, social ease, the ability to speak up and lead, are not skills people suddenly lose.

They are skills that Singapore’s highly academic environment simply does not create the space to build.

SuperMinds exists to close that gap, giving children the people skills that matter most, in an environment designed to bring out the best in every child, including the ones still finding their voice.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Confidence, Social Skills & Leadership Holiday Camp?

This is a 3-day holiday camp by SuperMinds designed to help children and teenagers grow in three areas that matter deeply both in school and in life: personal confidence, social skills, and leadership. Across three half-days of practical activities, guided speaking tasks, and group challenges, students become more comfortable in themselves, more confident with others, and more ready to step forward when it counts. It is not an academic program, it is a people skills program, built around the kinds of situations children actually face every day.

Is this a public speaking program?

Not exactly, though speaking and self-expression are woven throughout. The program is broader than public speaking. It also covers social confidence, the ability to start and sustain conversations, empathy and teamwork, and the willingness to take initiative and lead. Many children who attend are not preparing for a speech or presentation, they are working on becoming more comfortable and capable in everyday group situations, friendships, and school settings.

Is this suitable for shy or quiet children?

Yes, and in fact, it is designed with them specifically in mind. Many of the children who benefit most from this programme are those who are soft-spoken, hesitant, or tend to hold back in group settings. The programme is structured so that students build confidence gradually across the three days, starting with self-awareness and personal expression before moving into group interaction and leadership. Shy children are never put on the spot, they are guided, supported, and given space to grow at a pace that feels safe.

What is the difference between the Kids and Teens sessions?

The core themes, confidence, social skills, and leadership, are the same for both groups. What differs is the delivery.

Kids sessions use more games, role-play, and structured activities suited to younger children aged 9 to 12. Teens sessions use more discussion, real-world scenarios, and peer interaction suited to teenagers aged 13 to 16.

The two groups run at separate times and do not mix, so each session feels age-appropriate and relevant.

Where are classes held?

All in-person sessions are held at our centre at 250 Tanjong Pagar Road, St Andrew’s Centre, #04-01, Singapore 088541. The centre is accessible by MRT via Tanjong Pagar station on the East-West Line.

What age group is this program for?

The program is open to children aged 9 to 12 and teenagers aged 13 to 16. Kids and teens are in separate sessions, kids run in the first half of the day and teens in the second half, so the activities, language, and group dynamics are age-appropriate for each group. If you are unsure whether the program is the right fit for your child’s age or maturity level, feel free to reach out via WhatsApp before registering.

How is this different from a regular enrichment class?

Most enrichment classes build academic or technical skills. This programme builds people skills, the kind that affect how a child speaks, connects, participates, handles group situations, and carries themselves in everyday life. It is also not a lecture-based class. Students learn through doing, guided challenges, group tasks, speaking activities, and real interaction with peers. The focus is on visible, felt change across 3 days, not theory or worksheets.

What will my child actually do across the 3 days?

Across the three days, your child will take part in guided speaking activities, group discussions, team challenges, reflection exercises, and leadership tasks, all designed to build confidence, social skills, and initiative in a practical, engaging way.

  • Day 1 focuses on self-awareness and self-expression.
  • Day 2 focuses on connecting with others through conversation, empathy, and teamwork.
  • Day 3 focuses on stepping up, contributing ideas, guiding a task, and leading with positive influence.

Every activity is purposeful and coach-facilitated.

Is there a sibling discount or past trainee rate?

Yes. Families with past SuperMinds trainees qualify for a special returning rate of S$448, a saving of S$150 off the usual price. If you have a sibling who would like to join the same programme, contact us on WhatsApp to ask about current sibling arrangements before registering.

What are the June 2026 holiday program dates?

  • Run 1: 8, 9 and 11 June 2026
  • Run 2: 15, 16 and 17 June 2026

Kids sessions (aged 9–12) run from 10am to 1pm. Teens sessions (aged 13–16) run from 2pm to 5pm.

Both runs cover identical program content, the only difference is the week. If you have both a child aged 9–12 and a teenager aged 13–16, they can attend the same run in their respective sessions.

Register early as spots are limited and each run closes once the cohort is full.
