Public Speaking Classes for Teens
Confident Teens Speak Up 🎤 & Stand Out⭐
Does your teen struggle to express themselves?
In Singapore’s results-driven school system, teens learn to ace exams, but not always how to speak up for themselves. Ever seen your child freeze up during a presentation, mumble through an interview, or shy away from asking questions in class?
Here’s the truth: grades open doors, but communication skills keep them open.
Public speaking isn’t just about standing on stage. It’s about giving your teen the confidence to say, “I’ve got something to share”, whether in a DSA interview, leadership role, scholarship panel, or just speaking up in a room full of peers.
It builds clear thinking, presence, resilience, and most importantly, self-belief. These aren’t just speaking skills, they support the development of key 21st Century Competencies outlined by MOE.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the SuperMinds curriculum focus on?
Most people associate public speaking with memorising a script and delivering a polished performance. At SuperMinds, we take a fundamentally different approach. Our curriculum for teens aged 13 to 17 is built around developing thinking skills, teaching students to organise their thoughts under pressure, speak with clarity and conviction, and express ideas authentically without relying on prepared lines.
We train teens to be comfortable with pauses, to think on their feet, and to communicate in a way that stays true to who they are. This matters enormously in DSA interviews and school presentations, where panellists and teachers can immediately tell the difference between a rehearsed answer and a genuine one.
The skills built at SuperMinds go well beyond academic settings. Teens who learn to communicate with authenticity and confidence carry that ability into leadership roles, group discussions, and every high-stakes conversation they will face as they grow up.
What age group are SuperMinds public speaking classes for teens?
SuperMinds public speaking classes for teens are designed for students aged 13 to 17 in Singapore. Classes are held at 250 Tanjong Pagar Road, St Andrew’s Centre #04-01, a 5 to 8-minute walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT station.
How many students are in each class?
SuperMinds keeps class sizes to a maximum of 8 students per session. This ensures every teen receives personalised attention and sufficient practice time from trainer Iwan Yang, an ICF Certified Coach and MOE-Registered Educator.
Can my teen join mid-term?
Yes. SuperMinds uses an open enrolment model with topical, non-sequential sessions. Teens can join at any point during the term and fees are prorated based on the remaining sessions. There is no need to wait for a new term to start.
What happens in a trial class?
A trial class is a full 1.5-hour session where your child participates alongside other students in the regular weekly programme. Register for a trial class at S$59.50. There is no obligation to continue after the trial.
Is this suitable for a teen who has never done public speaking before?
Yes. SuperMinds teen classes welcome students at all levels, including complete beginners. The small group environment of maximum 8 students allows teens to build confidence at their own pace in a supportive, non-judgmental setting. Many students start with no prior public speaking experience and develop strong communication skills within one term.
How does SuperMinds help teens prepare for DSA interviews?
SuperMinds teen classes build the core communication skills that DSA interviews assess, including structured self-introduction, articulating personal strengths, handling panel questions with clarity, and managing nerves under pressure. Teens who complete the programme are significantly better equipped for MOE’s Direct School Admission interview process. SuperMinds also offers a dedicated DSA interview preparation programme for Primary 5 and 6 students.
How is SuperMinds different from debate or speech and drama classes?
Debate focuses on argumentation and competitive formats. Speech and drama focuses on performance and theatrical expression. SuperMinds focuses on practical, everyday communication skills teens use in school presentations, DSA interviews, CCA leadership roles, and real-life conversations. The skills are immediately applicable, not performance-based.
