The teens who stand out are not always the most brilliant. They are the most articulate.
For teenagers, public speaking is no longer optional. It shows up in every class presentation, every DSA interview, every JC application, and every conversation where opportunities are won or lost.
Most teens who struggle are not short of ideas or intelligence. They are short of structure, confidence, and the conviction to make what they say actually land.

They are bright. But they freeze when presenting.
In a class presentation or interview, the gap between what a teen knows and what they can express becomes visible. That gap is closeable. It is a skills gap, not an intelligence gap.

They speak. But people don't really listen.
Some teens talk fluently but haven't learned how to structure their ideas or make their point land. SuperMinds public speaking classes for teens in Singapore teach both sides of that skill.

DSA and scholarship interviews feel like a different language.
Teens who have practised structured speaking in real situations perform significantly better in panel interviews. That practice is exactly what SuperMinds is built around.

They express themselves online. Not in person.
Many teens are fluent communicators in text and on social media. Transferring that fluency into face-to-face conversations and high-pressure settings is the skill that opens doors.
Public speaking classes for teens teach more than how to present. They teach how to think on their feet.
The goal is not to make your teen sound like a different person. It is to help them come across the way they actually are.
Visible in the moments that matter.
A teen who answers a DSA interview question with clarity. Who holds a conversation with an adult as an equal rather than going quiet.
Confident in the situations that used to make them blank.
They can think on their feet when the pressure rises. The version of themselves they are with friends starts showing up in other rooms too.
Built across terms, not in one class.
These shifts build session by session. They compound in ways that matter more as the stakes in your teen's life get higher.

Every meaningful relationship. Every real success. Both are built on communication.
The most successful people are rarely the most talented. They are the ones who can articulate their thinking clearly, connect genuinely, and bring people along with them. That ability is not a personality trait. It is a skill.
For teenagers, the window to build it is now. DSA interviews, scholarship applications, university admissions, first jobs. Every high-stakes moment ahead rewards the young person who can communicate with clarity and conviction. SuperMinds public speaking classes for teens in Singapore build that ability before those moments arrive.

What Your Teen Will Learn
Skills that show up in the classroom, the interview room, and every conversation that follows.
How to structure thinking and deliver it clearly under pressure.
Most communication falls apart not because of nerves but because the thinking was never organised. SuperMinds public speaking classes for teens teach students how to build a clear structure before they speak, so that under pressure, what they say is logical and easy to follow.

How to speak with conviction, not just words.
There is a significant difference between saying something and making it land. Teens learn to use their voice, their pacing, and their presence to deliver ideas with genuine authority. The kind that makes a DSA interview panel lean in.

How to read a room and adapt in real time.
Public speaking for teenagers is a conversation with stakes. Teens learn to read their audience, adjust their delivery, and respond to what is actually happening in the room.

Six skills your teen develops through SuperMinds public speaking classes in Singapore.
Six skills. Practised every session. Each one relevant to the classroom, the interview room, and every high-stakes conversation your teen will face.

Structuring Arguments Under Pressure
Organising complex ideas quickly and clearly, so that under pressure, what your teen says is logical, coherent, and easy to follow.

Commanding Presence and Delivery
Using voice, pace, and authority to hold a room. Not just to be heard, but to be listened to.

Thinking on Their Feet
Responding clearly and confidently when there is no script and no preparation time. The skill that matters most in DSA interviews and real life.

Reading and Owning the Room
Projecting confidence and reading the audience to adapt in real time. In every formal and informal setting they will encounter.

Persuasion and Influence
Making a case, telling a story with a point, and moving people to a position. Directly applicable to presentations, interviews, and leadership situations.

Real Conversation Under Pressure
Engaging panels, teachers, and adults as equals. Listening genuinely and responding in a way that connects rather than deflects.
SuperMinds equips teens to think on their feet and express it.
Because the teens who get ahead are not always the ones with the most to say. They are the ones who can say it clearly, confidently, and at the right moment.
Every teen starts from exactly where they are.
Every teen who walks into SuperMinds already has a perspective, a way of thinking, and something genuinely worth expressing. Our public speaking classes give that thinking structure and shape. The goal is never to change who they are. It is to help them come across the way they actually are.
Their authentic voice, expressed with clarity and confidence.
There is a significant difference between a teen who has learned to sound confident and a teen who actually is. SuperMinds public speaking classes for teenagers in Singapore focus on expression over performance. The goal is a teen who walks into a DSA interview or a class presentation sounding exactly like themselves, only clearer and more structured.

Thinking clearly when the pressure is highest.
Most teens can talk. What fails them in high-stakes moments is not their voice but what happens to their thinking when the pressure rises. SuperMinds communication classes for teens give students repeated practice in structured speaking within a small, safe group, so that over time the pressure of a real situation focuses their thoughts rather than scatters them.
Progress measured against who they were, not who others are.
Progress at SuperMinds is measured against one person: your teen. A teen who is clearer in a Secondary school presentation than they were three months ago. Who handles an interview question without going blank. Who carries themselves differently in a room that used to make them shrink. That kind of growth is quiet, consistent, and it compounds.
Designed by Iwan Yang. Singapore's most reviewed communication trainer.
He knows that teenagers are at one of the most consequential stages of their lives when it comes to communication. Old enough to have sophisticated ideas and real opinions. Young enough that the habits they build now, around how they present themselves, handle pressure, and connect with others, will shape every opportunity that comes their way. He is a father of two boys himself. He understands what teens at this age actually need.
Iwan designed the SuperMinds curriculum, the approach, and the standards every class is built on. Every SuperMinds class, whoever delivers it, reflects his method and his belief that every teen already has something worth saying.

"Coach Iwan has been fantastic with both my kids, Caden and Reagan. They genuinely enjoy the lessons and always look forward to class. His teaching style is engaging, encouraging, and helps build both confidence and skills. We have seen positive growth in them over time. My older child enjoyed it so much that he will be coming back for the second part later this year. Highly recommended!"

Common Questions About SuperMinds Public Speaking Classes for Teens
Everything you need to know before booking a SuperMinds Teens Public Speaking class.
What age group is the Public Speaking for Teens programme for?
The SuperMinds Public Speaking for Teens programme in Singapore is designed for students aged 13 to 17, from Secondary School through to Junior College and Polytechnic. We offer a separate programme for younger children aged 9 to 12. WhatsApp us at +65 6602 8262 if you are unsure which programme is right for your teen.
My teen is already confident. Would SuperMinds still be useful?
Absolutely. Confidence and communication are not the same thing. Many confident teenagers speak loudly but have not yet learned how to structure their thoughts, hold a room, or adapt their communication to different audiences and situations. SuperMinds teaches teens to channel that confidence into clarity, conviction, and genuine connection. Many of our most engaged students are teens who were already confident but discovered there is a meaningful difference between speaking and being heard.
My teen is shy and hates public speaking. Will this work for them?
Yes. Shy or introverted teenagers are often the ones who develop the most in the SuperMinds programme. We do not put teens on the spot before they are ready. Every student works at their own pace in a small, safe group of up to 8 students. The environment is warm, not competitive. Many parents tell us their teen came home after the very first session noticeably more willing to speak up, at school and at home.
How is this different from debate club or drama?
Debate develops the ability to argue a structured position under formal rules. Drama develops character work and storytelling through performance. SuperMinds develops the ability to express a teen's own thinking, in their own voice, in the situations that actually matter. Class presentations, interviews, professional conversations, and everyday moments where how they communicate shapes how they are perceived.
Is this a one-term programme or does my teen continue over time?
One term of SuperMinds public speaking classes for teens gives your teen a foundation. What builds on that foundation is time, consistency, and the commitment to keep showing up.
The teens who return term after term develop something that quietly sets them apart. Not because they are doing more classes, but because communication is a skill that compounds. Every session gives them a new tool to try, and every week between classes gives them real situations to try it in. A Secondary 1 student who starts with SuperMinds and continues through to JC develops a level of communication fluency that will consistently exceed their peers at every stage that follows.
One hour and thirty minutes a week. The return on that commitment grows every single term.
Can my teen join mid-term?
Yes. Each SuperMinds session for teens is a standalone topic, which means your teen can join at any point in the term without missing out or needing to catch up. Many families start mid-term and find it works seamlessly.
How much does the programme cost?
A trial class costs S$59.50 per student. This is a full session of the actual programme. Term fees are S$476 for an 8-session term or S$595 for a 10-session term. WhatsApp us at +65 6602 8262 for current term pricing and available dates.
What happens at a trial class?
Your teen joins a real SuperMinds class in Singapore. They speak, practise, and experience exactly what every regular session is like. After the class, you receive a video recording of your teen speaking and a written evaluation from a SuperMinds coach covering their current communication style, specific strengths, and where coaching would make the biggest difference. The trial class costs S$59.50.
How will this help my teen with DSA interviews?
DSA interviews reward students who can articulate their strengths, explain their thinking, and engage a panel with genuine confidence. These are not innate abilities. They are learnable communication skills, and they are exactly what SuperMinds public speaking classes for teens in Singapore are built around. Teens who have practised structured speaking in a small group environment perform significantly better in high-stakes interview situations.
How is SuperMinds different from other public speaking programmes for teens?
Public speaking programmes generally do a good job of teaching teenagers how to present, often with a script, a structured format, and a clear performance to work toward. SuperMinds focuses on something that sits a little deeper than that.
Most teens who struggle to communicate effectively are not short of ideas. They are short of the structure to organise those ideas, the confidence to deliver them under pressure, and the conviction to hold a room without relying on a script. SuperMinds is built specifically around that gap, starting with what every teen already has and helping them express it clearly, in every situation.
A few things parents of teens find meaningfully different: sessions are topical and standalone so teens can join any time without catching up; classes are capped at 8 students so every teen speaks and receives real attention; and after a trial class, parents receive a video recording of their teen speaking and a written evaluation from a SuperMinds coach covering their strengths and where coaching would make the biggest difference.
