Why do so many children struggle with public speaking?
Most children aged 9 to 12 have plenty to say. What holds them back is not ideas. It is structure, confidence, and enough safe practice to make speaking up feel natural. It is exactly what our public speaking classes for children in Singapore are built to address.

They know the answer. They just won't raise their hand.
The ideas are there. Getting them out clearly and calmly, in front of others, is where the gap appears. That gap is exactly what SuperMinds closes.

Oral exams and class presentations feel overwhelming.
Kids who haven't practised structured speaking freeze when PSLE oral or a class presentation comes up. It is a skills gap that public speaking classes for children in Singapore can close.

They talk freely at home. Everywhere else, they hold back.
This is one of the most common things parents tell us. The child they know at home, curious, funny, and opinionated, disappears the moment they are in a formal or unfamiliar setting.

They speak. But it is a challenge to get people to listen.
Some children talk a lot but haven't learned to organise their thoughts so what they say actually lands. SuperMinds teaches both sides of that skill.
What our public speaking classes for children actually change.
Most programmes teach children what to say. SuperMinds teaches them how to think and express it. That is a different kind of confidence. The kind that stays.
From quiet to confident.
Children aged 9 to 12 move from holding back to speaking up. In class, at home, and everywhere else. Not because they were pushed. Because they felt safe enough to try.
A skill, not a script.
A memorised speech teaches a child what to say. SuperMinds teaches them how to think and express it. That skill stays with them in every conversation and every room they will ever walk into.
Small shifts. Significant results.
A child who volunteers an answer when they would not have before. Who explains their day with more detail. Who speaks up instead of waiting to be asked. Small shifts, built session by session, that become something significant.

Every meaningful relationship. Every real success. Both are built on communication.
The most successful people are rarely the most brilliant. They are the ones who can connect, express themselves clearly, and bring others along with them. Most people never fully develop this because no one ever taught them how.
Public speaking is where that teaching happens. The earlier a child builds it, the more natural it becomes.

Three skills that make a confident communicator.
Every SuperMinds session builds on the same three foundations. Your child gets better every time they show up.
How to structure their thoughts clearly before speaking.
Before they open their mouths, children learn to organise what they want to say. A skill that transfers directly to PSLE oral, class presentations, and DSA interviews.

How to speak with natural confidence.
Not scripted. Not rehearsed. Children in our public speaking classes in Singapore learn to speak as themselves, with clarity and calm.

How to listen and respond in any situation.
Great speakers read the room. Children learn to engage, respond, and hold attention. Not just deliver lines.

Six skills your child develops through SuperMinds public speaking classes for children in Singapore.
Six skills. Practised every session. Each one useful in the classroom, the exam room, and every conversation beyond.

Structured Thinking
Organising thoughts clearly before speaking, so what comes out is logical and easy to follow.

Voice & Delivery
Using volume, pace, and tone to hold attention and make words land.

Impromptu Speaking
Thinking on their feet and responding clearly in unscripted situations. The skill that matters most in real life.

Body Language & Eye Contact
Carrying themselves with confidence, making eye contact, and using presence to communicate as much as words do.

Storytelling
Expressing ideas through stories that are clear, engaging, and memorable. Directly applicable to PSLE oral and class presentations.

Listening and Responding
Engaging genuinely with whoever is speaking and responding in a way that connects.
Every child already has a voice. SuperMinds draws it out.
Every child who walks into SuperMinds already has something worth saying. The work is helping them say it clearly, confidently, and as themselves.
We start with what your child already has.
Every child is different in how they think, how they hold back, and what they are ready to say. Our coaching is built around that child. Not a syllabus they have to fit into.
We teach expression, not performance.
There is a difference between a child who has memorised a speech and a child who can walk into any situation and say what they think, clearly and confidently. SuperMinds teaches the second kind.

We build courage, not pressure.
Children speak up when they feel safe enough to try. Every class is deliberately small, warm, and structured so every child gets to speak, be heard, and try again.
We measure your child against who they were, not who others are.
A little more willing to raise their hand. A little clearer when they explain something. A little more at ease in situations that used to make them quiet. That is the progress SuperMinds builds.

"Coach Iwan has been fantastic with both my kids, Caden and Reagan. They genuinely enjoy the lessons and always look forward to class. His teaching style is engaging, encouraging, and helps build both confidence and skills. We have seen positive growth in them over time. My older child enjoyed it so much that he will be coming back for the second part later this year. Highly recommended!"

Public Speaking Classes for Children Frequently Asked Questions
Everything parents need to know before booking a SuperMinds Kids Public Speaking class.
What age group is the Public Speaking for Children programme for?
The SuperMinds Public Speaking for Children programme in Singapore is designed for children aged 9 to 12, from Primary 3 through to Primary 6. We offer a separate programme for teens aged 13 to 17. If your child is younger than 9, WhatsApp us at +65 6602 8262 to discuss suitability. A trial class may be available.
My child is very shy. Will this work for them?
Yes. Shy or introverted children are often the ones who benefit most from SuperMinds public speaking classes in Singapore. We do not put children on the spot before they are ready. Every child works at their own pace in a small, safe group environment. Many parents in Singapore tell us their child came home after the very first session noticeably more willing to speak up, at school and at home.
How is this different from a drama or speech and drama class?
SuperMinds is a communication skills programme focused on authentic expression. Drama develops performance and character work through scripts and roleplay. SuperMinds develops the ability to express a child's own thinking, clearly and confidently, as themselves. The skills we build are directly applicable to PSLE oral examinations, class presentations, DSA interviews, and everyday conversations.
How much does the programme cost?
A trial class costs S$59.50 per child. This is a full session of the actual programme, not a watered-down preview. Term fees start from S$595 for 10 weekly sessions. WhatsApp us at +65 6602 8262 for current term pricing and available dates.
Do parents stay during the trial class?
Parents are welcome to drop off and wait nearby. Children speak more freely and more naturally without an audience, including their parents. What you want is an accurate picture of how your child actually communicates in a group, and that picture is clearer when they are with their peers rather than performing for the people they love. After a trial class, you receive a personalised video evaluation of your child's speaking so you will know exactly what happened in the room.
Is the Public Speaking for Children programme a one-term commitment, or does my child continue over time?
One term gives your child a foundation. What builds on that foundation is time, consistency, and the courage to keep showing up.
Think of learning to play the piano or learning to swim. You would not expect mastery after ten sessions. Communication is no different. It is a skill that deepens with practice and compounds across terms in ways that become most visible not in the classroom but in everyday life.
The measure of progress here is never your child against another child. It is your child against who they were last term. Those shifts, built session by session from Primary 3 through to Primary 6, produce children whose ability to communicate clearly and confidently will consistently exceed what their peers can do.
One hour and thirty minutes a week. The return on that commitment grows every single term.
What will my child actually learn?
Children in the SuperMinds programme learn how to organise their thoughts clearly before speaking, how to deliver their ideas with natural confidence, and how to engage and connect with whoever they are speaking to. These are communication skills, useful in oral exams, class discussions, interviews, and every conversation they will ever have.
How soon will I see results?
The first changes parents notice are usually small ones. A child who volunteers an answer in class when they did not before. Who explains their day with more detail. Who speaks up at the dinner table instead of going quiet. Communication is a skill that develops over time with consistent practice. A single term builds a foundation. Multiple terms build something that lasts. We are honest about this because any programme that promises overnight transformation is not being honest with you.
Can my child join mid-term?
Yes. Each SuperMinds session for children is a standalone topic, which means your child can join at any point in the term without missing out or needing to catch up. Many families start mid-term and find it works seamlessly.
How is SuperMinds different from other public speaking or enrichment programmes?
Public speaking programmes generally do a good job of teaching children how to present, often with a script, a structured format, and a clear performance to work toward. SuperMinds focuses on something that sits a little deeper than that.
Most children who struggle to speak up are not short of ideas. They are short of the structure to organise those ideas, the confidence to deliver them, and the sense that what they have to say is worth hearing. SuperMinds is built specifically around that gap, starting with what every child already has and helping them express it clearly, without a script, in every situation.
A few things parents find meaningfully different: sessions are topical and standalone so children can join any time without catching up; classes are capped at 8 children so every child speaks and receives real attention; and after a trial class, parents receive a personalised video evaluation of their child's speaking, covering their strengths and where coaching would make the biggest difference.
My child has never done anything like this before. Where do we start?
The trial class is exactly the right starting point. There is nothing to prepare, nothing to memorise, and no experience required. Your child simply comes in, joins the group, and takes part in a structured session at their own pace. Most children who have never done any public speaking or communication training find the trial class far less intimidating than they expected. The trial also comes with a personalised video evaluation of your child's speaking, so you leave with a clear, specific picture of where they are and what a full term could do for them.
