Meet Mr. Iwan Yang

Iwan Yang is not your typical enrichment trainer.
He has spent over a decade coaching everyone from primary school students to C-suite executives in communication, confidence, and leadership, accumulating more than 500 reviews across Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn and coaching more than 3,000 students and working professionals across Singapore in the process.
As the founder of Speak Sell Succeed, one of Singapore’s most recognised adult communication and presentation training programmes, Iwan brings a depth of real-world expertise into every SuperMinds class that is rare in the children’s enrichment space. His methods have been tested and proven at the highest professional levels.
What he teaches at SuperMinds is not a simplified version of a school curriculum. It is a structured, practical approach to building the communication skills and personal confidence that shape how a child carries themselves for life.
But behind the credentials is something equally important.
Iwan is a father of two boys. He knows, not just as a trainer, but as a parent, what it feels like to want more for your child. To see potential that is not yet finding its way out. To wish your child would speak up more, connect more easily, and step forward with greater confidence.
That is why SuperMinds exists. Not to produce polished performers or rehearsed speakers, but to give every child, including the quiet ones, the shy ones, and the ones still finding their voice, the skills and confidence to show the world who they really are.

Over ten years of coaching, Iwan learned how people find their voice. Now he helps children find theirs.

Built in the real world,
not a classroom.
The years that taught him what communication actually costs.
After graduating from Singapore Management University, Iwan built and ran several businesses, including a travel brand and a digital marketing consultancy. Those years in the real world taught him something no degree could: that the ability to communicate clearly and lead under pressure determines whether someone succeeds, in business, in relationships, and in every room that matters.
The turning point came through Toastmasters. What started as curiosity became conviction. After winning multiple speech competitions across several categories, he realised that helping others find their voice was what he was built to do.
The same gap. Every time.
Five hundred reviews in, he kept seeing the same problem.
He founded Speak Sell Succeed, a SkillsFuture-approved training programme for working professionals. It became one of Singapore's most reviewed communication training programmes, with 500+ reviews across Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
But working with professionals day after day, the same thing kept showing up. The skills holding people back were not new problems. They were gaps that had been there since childhood. Gaps that Singapore's academic system, for all its rigour and ambition, had never created space to fill.

He didn't just teach it.
He lived it.
He applied the same method to his own sons and watched what happened.
Around the same time, Iwan began using his coaching skills to help his own sons with their school communication tasks. Show and tell. Oral examinations. Class presentations. And eventually, DSA interviews.
What he watched was quiet and unmistakable. A child who used to give one-line answers started holding conversations under pressure. A child who used to wait to be asked started being the first to respond.
That experience, combined with what he was seeing every day in his adult practice, is what moved him to create SuperMinds.
Parents asked.
SuperMinds answered.
It began with a request from people who had already trusted him with themselves.
Many of Iwan's adult students were parents themselves. They had experienced his coaching firsthand and seen what it did for them. And they started asking him to do the same for their children.
That is how SuperMinds began. Not with a business plan. With a request from people who had already placed their trust in him, now asking him to work with the people they loved most.

How Iwan coaches. And why every SuperMinds class is built around it.
Every SuperMinds class reflects the same belief Iwan has carried across a decade of coaching. Every child already has something worth saying. The work is giving it structure. That belief shapes every session, every coach, and every interaction at SuperMinds.

Start with the child, not the content.
Every child who walks into SuperMinds is different. The SuperMinds method builds each session around the children in the room, not a fixed script. The result is progress that feels earned because it is rooted in who the child actually is.

Teach structure before style.
Confidence without clarity is noise. The SuperMinds approach teaches children to organise their thinking before they open their mouths. When they speak, what comes out is coherent, purposeful, and genuinely theirs.

Create the conditions for courage, not pressure.
Children speak up when they feel safe enough to try. Every SuperMinds class is kept small, warm, and structured so that every child speaks in every session, is heard by the group, and has the chance to try again. That repeated experience of being heard is what builds real confidence.
The right coach does not just teach your child to speak. They change how your child sees themselves.
Every skill your child builds at SuperMinds traces back to one thing. A method designed by someone who has spent over a decade understanding how people find their voice, and why some never do. The trial class is where you see that difference for yourself.
Trial class from S$59.50. Your child joins a real SuperMinds session and you receive a video recording of your child speaking and a written evaluation from a SuperMinds coach. Classes are held at 250 Tanjong Pagar Road, St Andrew's Centre, #04-01, Singapore 088541, a short walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT.
