What happens at a SuperMinds public speaking trial class.
Some children hold back in class even when they know the answer. Others are naturally talkative but go blank in front of a group. Some are already confident and want to get sharper. The trial class meets your child exactly where they are. There is no wrong starting point.
Your child joins a real class.
Your child joins an existing SuperMinds public speaking class with other students of the same age. Children aged 9 to 12 and teens aged 13 to 17 attend separate sessions.

Children speak more freely and more naturally without an audience, including the people they love most. What you want is an accurate picture of how your child actually communicates in a group. That picture is clearest when they are with their peers.
Your child speaks and practises.
During the 90-minute session, your child takes part in a structured speaking activity alongside the group. Same format, same energy, same teaching approach as every regular SuperMinds class.
You receive a video recording and a written evaluation.
Within the week after the class, you receive a video recording of your child speaking during the session. A SuperMinds coach then sends you a written evaluation covering what was observed, specific to your child.

Is the trial class a real SuperMinds class or a special trial session?
It is a real SuperMinds class. Your child joins an existing session with other students of the same age group. The format, the teaching approach, and the energy are identical to every regular SuperMinds session. The only difference is that your child has not been before.
What age groups are available?
SuperMinds offers two separate trial class groups. The children's class is for ages 9 to 12, from Primary 3 through to Primary 6. The teens class is for ages 13 to 17, covering Secondary School, JC, and Poly students. WhatsApp us at +65 6602 8262 if you are unsure which group is right for your child.
Do parents stay during the class?
Parents are welcome to drop off and wait nearby. Children and teens speak more freely and more naturally without an audience, including their parents. After the trial, you receive a video recording of your child speaking during the session, together with a written evaluation from a SuperMinds coach, so you will know exactly what happened in the room.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

My child is shy. Will they be able to participate?
Yes. Shy children and teens often surprise their parents in the trial class. The small group of up to 8 students and the structured, supportive format means every child gets a real chance to speak at their own pace. Many parents tell us their child came home from the very first session noticeably more willing to speak up.
Can my child join a regular term after the trial?
Yes. After the trial, you will receive a video recording of your child speaking and a written evaluation from a SuperMinds coach. If SuperMinds is the right fit, we can assist you with the registration for your child for our public speaking programme.
