Your child's report card does not tell the full story.
Grades show what your child knows. But in a PSLE Oral exam, a DSA interview, or a class presentation, what matters is whether they can say it. Clearly. Confidently. Without going blank.
This is what parents are searching for when they look for the best public speaking class Singapore has to offer. Not a performance class. Not a drama workshop. A programme that helps their child find their voice and use it.

1. What the best public speaking class in Singapore actually teaches
Many programmes stop at the surface. They teach eye contact, hand gestures, and projection. Useful skills, but not the foundation.
A child who has memorised a script will freeze the moment the script is broken. A child who has learned to think and speak will adapt.
At SuperMinds, every class is built on three foundations.
Character. Your child speaks with honesty and listens with genuine curiosity. They hold themselves to a standard because they value the quality of their connections, not because they were told to.
Communication. They learn to take what lives inside (a thought, a feeling, a point of view) and express it clearly to whoever is in front of them.
Confidence. The quiet, steady certainty that what they have to say matters. Confidence that follows them into every room they will ever walk into.
These are not soft skills. They are the skills that determine the quality of every relationship and every opportunity your child will ever have.
2. Public speaking classes for children aged 9 to 12
For younger children, the priority is building a safe, consistent speaking habit.
Many children know the answer in class. They just never raise their hand. That hesitation, practised week after week, becomes a fixed pattern. Early communication training builds the opposite habit: one where speaking up feels natural and expected.
Our classes for Primary 3 to Primary 6 run in small groups of up to 8. Every session is topical and standalone. Your child can join at any point in the term without missing out or catching up.
The trial class includes a video recording of your child speaking and a written evaluation from a SuperMinds coach.
Trial class: S$59.50. Located at 250 Tanjong Pagar Road, St Andrew's Centre, #04-01, Singapore 088541, near Tanjong Pagar MRT.

3. Public speaking classes for teens aged 13 to 17
For teens, the focus shifts to leadership presence.
A teen who can articulate their thinking clearly, hold a room's attention, and handle a difficult question with composure has an advantage in DSA interviews, student council applications, and every group project they will ever lead.
Our teen classes cover persuasive speaking, structured debate, and interview technique. Small group sizes mean every session includes meaningful practice time and direct feedback.

4. Why the best public speaking class in Singapore is not a performance class
There is a version of public speaking training that is really just performance coaching. It teaches children to stand in a certain way, gesture at specific moments, and deliver pre-written speeches with polish.
That is not what SuperMinds does.
We are not interested in teaching your child to perform. We want them to communicate. Real communication is knowing what you think and feel, expressing it clearly, and genuinely understanding the person in front of you.
Most children never get taught this. They talk every day, but talking and communicating are different.
SuperMinds draws out the voice your child already has.
5. How communication training helps with PSLE Oral and DSA interviews
The PSLE Oral component accounts for 15% of the total English grade. The Stimulus-Based Conversation asks your child to respond to an image or video with their own perspective, clearly, in complete sentences, with genuine engagement. This is exactly what we practise every session.
For DSA interviews, panels at schools like Raffles Institution, Nanyang Girls' High, and Hwa Chong are looking for a child who can express their passion honestly, think on their feet, and hold a conversation without rehearsed answers. Our DSA Interview Preparation programme addresses each of these directly.

7. Frequently asked questions
How is a public speaking class different from a speech and drama class?
Speech and drama focuses on performance and creative expression through acting. SuperMinds focuses on real-world communication: how to structure an argument, express an opinion clearly, and speak with genuine confidence in any situation. Both have value, but they build different things. Read our full comparison of public speaking vs speech and drama.
My child is very shy. Is this right for them?
Shy children are exactly who this programme is designed for. Our coaches never put a child on the spot before they are ready. We build confidence gradually, starting with small group conversations and moving toward individual speaking at a pace that feels safe. Most parents with shy children say the change they see is the one that surprised them most.
Can these classes help with DSA interviews?
Yes. DSA interviewers want to see a child who can speak about their interests honestly, think on their feet, and hold a conversation without rehearsed answers. Our DSA Interview Preparation programme works on each of these skills directly.
What age should my child start?
We recommend starting from age 9. The earlier a child builds a speaking habit, the more natural it feels by the time PSLE Oral or a secondary school interview arrives.
How long before I see a change?
Most parents notice something within the first term. It might be that their child volunteers an answer in class, or speaks more clearly at the dinner table. Over two terms, those small changes add up to something lasting.
Does the programme follow MOE guidelines for PSLE Oral?
Yes. Our curriculum is aligned with the MOE framework for PSLE and O-Level oral examinations. We cover Reading Aloud and Stimulus-Based Conversation. Our goal is not just exam performance: we want your child to become a genuinely confident communicator.
What is the class size?
A maximum of 8 children per class. Every child needs to speak in every session to make progress. That is only possible in a small group.
8. Book a trial class
